Abstract

The main subject of this study is to represent the geomagnetic field of region that can be limited by a rectangular domain. Above free region in the Earth's surface, the magnetic field may be expressed as gradient of a scalar potential, solving Laplace equation forced different boundary limits. The manuscript includes two main parts. The first part unlights the analytic studies of the different technical of regional modelling existing. These studies consist in analyzing all different techniques of existing regional modelling and to study in detail the formalism of modelling in rectangular domain. The second part, the numeric considerations and inverse problem survey will be evoked to be able to examine the validity of the rectangular model on the one hand for the case of Madagascar. And to verify on the over hand data available from Malagasy repeat stations. The reliability of the rectangular model remained solely inside zones covered by measures. Even though data are not enough, at least measure needed in each of the following stations: Antsiranana, Mahajanga, Toamasina, Toliara and Taolagnaro. The lack of data in one of these regions could not lead to a better magnetic map.
